Who we are
My Last Words For You (“we”) provides a service to store personal messages (letters, video, photos, photobooks) and release them to people you choose when the time comes. Contact: hello@mylastwordsforyou.com. Company details (KvK, address) will appear here once registered.
What we process
- Account data: email, name, plan, check-in status
- Message content and media you upload (EU storage)
- Recipients and trusted people (name, email, phone as you provide)
- Billing data via Mollie (we do not store full card/IBAN numbers)
- Technical logs needed for security and delivery
Why
Contract performance (your subscription and delivery promise), legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention), and consent where required (e.g. optional funeral-partner sharing).
Where
Primary hosting and databases in the EU (e.g. Supabase Frankfurt, Cloudflare R2 EU). Processors include Mollie (payments), email/SMS providers, and Vercel (application hosting). We sign or rely on appropriate DPAs.
Retention & continuity
We keep your sealed messages for as long as your subscription and trust protocol require. We do not silently delete messages when you hit a storage cap — you upgrade or add storage. We intend a continuity plan (export / escrow) if the company cannot continue; details will be published before wide launch.
Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection where applicable. Email us. You may lodge a complaint with the Dutch AP (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Trusted people & release
Trusted people confirm release; they do not see message content. Beneficiaries receive email and SMS with a secure link after the cooling-off period. See also our trust protocol on How it works.
